The National Honor Society at West Lutheran is a select group of students chosen for their dedication to academics, leadership, character, and service. Through participation in NHS, students have the opportunity to practice leadership and show Christian love by organizing service projects that benefit the school and community. NHS is an excellent group for West students who want to use their gifts to give of themselves.
Membership is an honor and a great experience for students. In order to become a member, students must be a current sophomore or a junior for at least one semester. In addition, they must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Other requirements include previous service background both in and outside of school and good character. Applications are available each spring when students are inducted to membership for the following year.
