Description:
Geography of the Western Hemisphere is a required class
that explores in depth the many facets that geography fits
into one's daily life. The study of the western hemisphere
also includes North, Middle and South Americas. Along the
educational journey the students take in the class, the material
presented will take them through the various physical, economical,
political, and cultural aspects of these various places. In
addition, map work and detailed presentations will also arise
throughout the course of semester.

Description:
Geography of the Eastern Hemisphere is an elective class
offered second semester that explores in depth the various
places of the eastern hemisphere. Including the study of Europe,
Russia, Northern Eurasia, Africa, and the various parts of
Asia. Along the educational journey the students take in the
class, the material presented will take them through the various
physical, economical, political, and cultural aspects of the
different places. In addition, map work and detailed presentations
will also arise throughout the course of semester.

Description:
Examination of Western Civilization from Prehistory to
the French Revolution. This course begins with a general survey
of ancient civilizations. We later study those people and
nations that have had the greatest impact on Western civilization,
with special attention given to the growth and spread of Christianity.

Description:
A seminar type class that emphasizes class participation and
analytical thought. It is a survey class in that it begins
with the settlement of the colonies and proceeds through The
Regan administration. This class uses video, projects, discussion,
essays, primary readings, and political cartoons as learning
tools.

Description:
Political Science is a two semester course in the basic principles
of democracy and their application to the United States’
government. The basic operations of the US government will
be explored, primarily on the national level. Contemporary
topics affecting the government will be debated by the students
and current events monitored. Most importantly, the role of
the Christian in God’s two kingdoms will be explored.

Advanced Placement American History:

Description:
Advanced Placement United States History is comparable to
an introductory college course in U.S. Civilization. A college-level
text, The American Pageant, is the main resource and is supplemented
by primary and secondary source readings.
The course
content begins with the Discovery and Settlement of the New
World, proceeds through the Colonial period, the Revolutionary
Period, the New Nation, the Civil War, the Gilded Age, the
Progressive Age, World Wars I and II, the Cold War (including
the Korean and Vietnam conflicts), and concludes with the
administrations of Reagan.
