Keyboarding Credits:

Course Credit: 0.2
Prerequisite(s): none

Description: During the ninth grade year, all students must show proficiency in keyboarding and elementary word processing. This keyboarding credit will be a graduation requirement. Keyboarding will be listed as pass/fail in the transcripts. Tests may be taken through the English teachers or the study hall supervisor. The 9th grade English teacher(s) will monitor this program and pass on names of the students who have completed these requirements to the registrar on a quarterly basis. Completion will be shown on student report cards and transcripts.

Accounting:

Description: This is a first year introductory accounting course covering financial statements, posting to ledgers, trial balances, income and balance sheets, tax reporting and payroll records. It covers accounting practices for sole proprietorships, partnerships and corporations. Students are prepared for job entry or college level work.

Computer Aided Drafting:

Description: This course is an introduction to drafting and to the field of computer-aided drafting and design using the PC computer. The students will become familiar with modern drafting theory/practices and career possibilities.

Description: This is a course that applies artistic creativity to computer software to produce print and web graphics and photo imaging.
