Emily Shoop Accepts Call

 West Lutheran is proud to welcome Mrs. Emily Shoop as she recently accepted a call for a teaching position for the 2012-2013 school year. Originally from South Lyon, MI, she attended Martin Luther College as well as the Art Institute in Chicago, IL. Upon graduation from MLC in 2009, she spent a year in China where she taught English at a university and worked with students sharing the good news of our Savior.
While in China, Mrs. Shoop met her wonderful husband, Andrew Shoop. Thery were married last June. Currently, they both teach and live in the dorms at St. Croix Lutheran High School. In her spare time, she enjoys kayaking, hiking and traveling. She has traveled to 17 different countries and hopes to add Peru to the list!
Details of her teaching responsibilities at West Lutheran will be shared in the future.
