2012 Dig Pink Event
The color pink was the girls' volleyball teams' recent theme. West hosted St. Croix Lutheran October 3, 2011, in the third annual fundraiser for breast cancer cleverly entitled ― Dig Pink. St. Croix was a worthy adversary on the court and in the end won 3 games, but in our fundraising efforts they were truly our Christian friends. Team members of both schools worked at the bake sale with families from both schools baking a plethora of goodies. The evening's festivities included a bake sale, a serving competition for prizes, a drawing and the hit of the night "homemade smoothies". We thank everyone who made this event the success that it was. The team’s desired goal was to raise between $500 and $1000 for the cause and they came out with over $1500 which will go to the Side-Out Foundation.
