FOREIGN LANGUAGE
While there is no graduation requirement for foreign languages, it is recommended that students take at least two years of a language if there is an interest in attending college. Success in a foreign language demands a consistently strong effort involving attention, ability to memorize, regular completion of homework and a good attendance record.

If a student is failing a foreign language class after one semester, he/she will be asked to drop the course. If a student’s performance in a foreign language is below average (D level) after one semester, the student will have one term to bring up his performance to at least a C level under contract. If the student is unable to improve his performance to the C level after a term, he/she will be asked to drop the course for the time being. Students and their parents should jointly consult the instructor if continued enrollment in this course is advisable.
